About

I am an Asheville-based illustrator and graphic designer. I jumped the pond from merry old England 20 years ago, raised two wonderful children, launched a software business, and am now fully following my passion to illustrate and design.

My early influences include Aubery Beardsley, E. H. Shepherd, Edward Gorey as well as 18th century Japanese prints, resulting in a minimalist, Zen-like style. Inspiration is drawn from everything and everyone around me, especially Lily my tiny white cat and a wonderful Wheaten Terrier called Chapman (both of whom make appearances in my card collections).

I am a graduate from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and have 17 years of experience providing my creative expertise to businesses and entrepreneurs. Most recently, I illustrated and designed the book cover and marketing materials for “Liberating Liberals,” a book by Bill Branyon, and I also completed a set of illustrations for a recently published book called “Boomer’s Only.”

My unique illustrations and graphic design—on cards, books, packaging, or wherever they are designed to end up—are lovingly rendered. I hope they will give you as much pleasure as they have given me in creating them.

I’d love to hear about your project and how we can work together. Simply email me at Sylvia@SylviaLoveridge.com.

Hope to hear from you!

Sylvia
